Franny (film)

The Benefactor originally titled Franny is a 2015 drama film written and directed by Andrew Renzi. The film stars Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning, Theo James and Clarke Peters. The film follows a philanthropist meddling in the live of a newlymarried couple attempting to relive his past. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17, 2015. The film was released in the United States on January 15, 2016, in a limited release and through video on demand by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

In August 2013, it was announced that Richard Gere had been cast in the film portraying the role of Franny, a philanthropist, with Andrew Renzi writing and directing the film. In September 2013, it was announced that Dakota Fanning and Theo James had joined the film, portraying the roles of Olivia and Luke respectively. Principal photography began on October 21, 2013, in Philadelphia.The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17, 2015. On May 1, 2015, Samuel Goldwyn Films acquired U.S distribution rights to the film. It went onto screen at the Champslyses Film Festival on June 13, 2015. The film was released in Italy on December 23, 2015, under the films original name Franny. The film was released in the United States on January 15, 2016, in a limited release and through video on demand. ........
